What a wonderful production of "Master Harold and the Boys". Top notch directing and acting. Three excellent actors who had amazing chemistry between each other. It made me laugh and cry. Looking forward to more performances.

Your production of Master Harold.. was theater at its best. The acting was excellent. I only regret the lack of publicity which probably accounted for the sparse attendance at the matinee last Sunday. Thanks for a wonderful afternoon. AP

A friend and I attended the June 6th performance of "'Master Harold' and the Boys." I thought it was excellent. However, it was heartbreaking to see such a poor turnout. I'm writing this in hopes that you'll convey to the cast my warmest congratulations on a fine performance in the face of all those empty seats. A couple of years ago I was an SSS volunteer on lights. It taught me much about what goes into an evening's performance. The professional gives his all even when so few are there. Bravo to 3 fine professionals.

I enjoyed last Friday's performance of Master Harold and the Boys. And I really enjoyed the role of Willie played Clarance Fletcher.

My compliments on your production of Master Harold and the boys by Athol Fugard. James Foster's performance as Sam was superb. A special thanks to him for his thoughtful and sensitive interpretation of the role.

I'm writing you thanking you for the joy you gave my father.......... ..........over the many, many years. He loved your theatre-sp? so very much. Daddy, Frank Formeller died last week of asbestos cancer. Altho he was on oxygen and ocassionally in wheelchair, you still made him feel welcome with your lift and I'm sure he may have used your back entrance as well. I live in Quito Ecuador and was with Pops for 9 weeks last year helping in his care. During April we saw Last of the Red Hot Lovers. It was a thot provoker for me, and I'm sure my father as well, the main character not wanting to die being thot of as "just a nice guy". POps didnd't want to discuss the plot/play, too close for comfort, I suppose. But your actors were excellent in it. I see in his mail, he still receives your bulletins. Wow! Great location, I learned about the Silver Spring Stage in the Journal Newspaper. I will be attending one of the January 2003 performances. I looking forward to the experience.

I don't really have a comment about any of the shows because I haven't seen any yet. However, I willbe auditioning for the upcoming one-act festival! I hope tosee my friends there if they recognize my name here. (No I'm not a dork [well maybe just a little])

It's wonderful that we have such a vibrant and creative theater community right here in Silver Spring. I come to the Stage as often as I can, and always love the plays and the characters. Warm regards.

I was interested in knowing whether the theatre provides acting workshops, and if not, I would like to know more about volunteering in set production, costume design, whatever is needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Remember the summer we changed the bowling lanes into an arena theatre? There was some great action downstairs, a props cart was built and a door installed . . . The Man of LaMancha was the musical, and The Valiant had as a warden a man who stumbled on his lines because he wasn't in town much! Well I know that man. I've since retired, from theatre and from work, but haven't lost my love for theatre -- or for pictures, which I didn't spot in my all brief tour of your website. But that's not unusual. As I surf around the smaller circuit, I find few theatre sites post pictures much less histories of their past (and 1969 IS THE PAST FOR SURE!) You're the real warden, I only did it on stage. Break a Leg!

First, we saw the play, Greetings, on Sunday afternoon, Dec 5, 1999, and loved it. The cast was excellent, and special kudos go to Robert Perkins for his fine work as Mickey. Second, this is my first visit to your site; I'm glad you have this for us, but I'd like to suggest that blue on black is not a very good combination and makes reading this site quite difficult for me and probably many others. I do plan to bookmark it for future visits since I am interested in the Silver Spring Stage and the great selection of plays produced, and this will be an easy way to keep up with what is going on.. BTW, CONGRATULATIONS ON 30 YEARS OF CONSISTENT SERVICE TO THE ARTS AND THE COMMUNITY !

Auditions, for those interested, are listed on the page of each specific play, but it might be better to list them altogether just off the main page. Just a thought...

Finally got a chance to check out the website and bookmark it. Very nicely done website. Would only make one suggestion: how about a page which gives the different categories of donor/sponsors and the amounts associated with them?
